In2Win October 2006 Update

David Musker

David Musker
CM Committee

Since the start of the lottery in February 577 numbers have been bought, of which 51 have dropped out. As of today we have 526 active numbers.

To date £15,810.73 has been given to the club and of this £12,771.60 was in respect of the pitch. The balance is made up of physio equipment, towels for the players, reserve team second strip and a cheque to enable the club to pay the commission to the lottery organizers under the terms of the lottery agreement.

All the set up costs have now been covered and for the first time since the lottery started the lottery had a small surplus at 30 September after all costs, prizes and money paid to AFCB.

With income currently of £1052 per week and up until now prizes of about £350 per week we are in a position to look again at the value of prizes and probably increase them - this will be looked at by the lottery group when it next meets.

Up coming prizes include clay pigeon shooting, tank driving, a helicopter flight, a flight in a small plane, pamper spa treatment, two prizes of £250 and in early December another £1000 prize.

Initially it had been intended that all profits made from the in2win lottery would go directly towards the club’s top class training facilities at Canford Heath. After further consultation with the team manager, however, the CM Board agreed instead to sponsor the ‘care and maintenance’ of the pitch at the Fitness First Stadium.THANKS TO OVER 530 people signing up; we the supporters have made enough money to sponsor . what has recently been nominated as one of the top three pitches in the 1st Division. A timely decision therefore to support the magnificent work of Andy Gray, AFCB’s part time groundsman, and enable it to continue in the future. To read more about the nomination click here.
