This is another issue that has surfaced regularly, and now your Supporters Trust Committee is going to take this forward.
Since the CM was originally formed members have paid an initial fee and become members for life. What that has meant is we have been sending newsletters and meeting notices via post to at least 2500 members without any additional funding. Now we have run out of funds, and at our last AGM it was agreed that we should finally implement a membership fee. Hence this will be our last newsletter distributed to our entire membership
You can join AFCBST for an annual fee of £10, or £15 ‘family’ membership for two or more adults and others living in the same household. Under-18’s can join for free but will not be entitled to a vote. Membership will entitle paying members a vote at meetings, and to a regular newsletter, sent by email unless requested. Other benefits will be added over the coming months. The year will usually run from January 1st to December 31st, but anyone who joins now will be members until December 2008! We look forward to hearing from you.
